A Mass of Christian Burial for Wilma J. Luzio, 88, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10 A.M., Thursday, December 9, 2021, with Fr. David Sizemore as celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Newark.

Wilma died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Monday, December 6, 2021.  She was born in Utica, Ohio on January 23, 1933, to the late Arthur and Jennie (Baughman) Farley.

Devoted to her Catholic faith, Wilma was a longtime parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she volunteered with the Woman of St. Francis and the Ministry of Comfort.  She was also a member of the PIME Guild #1 and the Sons of Italy Rinascimento Lodge.

Known to many for her fabulous baking skills, Wilma loved to share her talents with many by making them their favorite pies as a token of her appreciation.  She was most at home working in her kitchen, cooking for her large family and creating a home filled with love where everyone was always welcome.  She was also an avid gardener and loved to spend time outdoors working in her yard.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Steve (Marilyn) Luzio, Greg (Teri) Luzio, Ann (Bob) Olive, Paula (Todd) Schmoll, Pam Luzio (Scott Brockway); 10 grandchildren, Greg Luzio, Brittany (Jeremy) Zimmerman, Amber Luzio, Lindsey Luzio, Adam Luzio, David Luzio (Leslie Smith), Noelle Luzio (Jared Moore), Ashley (Brian) McCafferty, Chase Morgan (Breann Smith), Taylor (Joe) Kelly; 8 great-grandchildren; Kaleigha, Gianna, Eden, Emery, Angelina, Danielle, Chesney, and Addison; brothers, Henry (Sharen) Farley; Harry Farley; sister, Mildred Rothert; brother-in-law, Tracey Soles; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Luzio; brothers, Harvey (Joanne) Farley and Rufus Farley; sisters, Thelma (John) Lambert and Julia Soles; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wesley (Jean) Luzio, Anthony (Edna) Luzio, John (Norma) Luzio, Joseph (Miriam) Luzio, Rose Luzio and Mary (Ray) Coakley.

Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Wednesday, December 8, 2021, with a Sons of Italy Service held at 6:30 P.M., and Vigil Service held at 6:45 P.M.
