Private graveside services celebrating the life of William "Bill" Stokes, 59, of Florida and formerly of Heath, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant.

Bill died in St. Petersburg, Florida on January 28, 2019. He was born in Newark, Ohio on November 27, 1959 to the late Richard Franklin and Rose Marie (Soliday) Stokes.

Bill was a 1978 graduate of Heath High School and went on to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He worked in the capacity of mechanical, manufacturing, and hydraulic engineering throughout his career, and was passionate about his work.

He is survived by his siblings, Richard Stokes, Colleen (Colin) Ward, and Peggy Stokes; a niece and several nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Donald; two infant brothers; and sister-in-law, Teresa Stokes.
