A Funeral Mass for William Lyn Goslin, 60, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Monday, May 19, 2014, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Lyn, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at his home on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. He was born in Newark on December 3, 1953 to William E. Goslin of Newark, and the late Patsy (Ankrum) McLaughlin.

Lyn was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and worked for many years as a laborer. He was an avid lover of nature; enjoying both hunting and fishing, and the outdoors in general. He excelled at playing horseshoes and won many trophies over the years. Lyn was also a longtime fan of The Beatles. His love of music and The Beatles greatly guided his outlook on life. He enjoyed experiencing and sharing his hobbies with his family and friends. By doing so he introduced, shared and intertwined his passions in life, giving him and others great joy. His presence will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Martha (Hohman) Goslin, of the home; his children, Michael Goslin of Hilliard; Dave Goslin of the home; and Michelle Goslin of Etna; his half brother Doug (Pam) McLaughlin of Summerfield, Ohio; and half sister Marty (Larry) Stephens of Summerfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call on Sunday, May 18th from 2-7 P.M., at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
