Funeral services celebrating the life of Wanda Sue Trost, 84, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 1 P.M. Monday, June 28, 2021, with Chaplain Jeff Smith as celebrant.  Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11-1 PM, Monday, prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Wanda passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.  She was born in Newark, Ohio on February 4, 1937, to the late John Clarence and Ica Mae (Brown) Conners.

She was retired from Licking Memorial Hospital where she worked as the assistant director of housekeeping for many years. Especially fond of the outdoors, Wanda enjoyed fishing, hunting, and taking long walks.  She was an avid bowler and liked to play cards, especially solitaire, to pass the time.  Above all, Wanda cherished her family and the time she spent attending the many sporting events of her grandchildren, cheering for their success.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lori Moore; step-sons, Jeff (Cindy) Trost, Mike Trost, Tim (Pam) Trost, and Matt (Daphne) Trost; daughter-in-law, Beth Trost; 13 grandchildren, Griffen, Sidney, and Grady Moore, and their father, David Moore; Sean Trost, Kevin (Jill) Trost, Valerie (Glen) Hoover, Melissa Trost, Ryan Trost, Matt (Annie) Trost, Shannon Trost, Trevor (Katie) Trost, Chris (Jen) Trost, and Mel Trost; 18 great- grandchildren; brothers, Dwight Conners, Charles Conners, and John (Carlina) Conners; sister, Barb (Dick) Smith; and many nieces and nephews, including Jenafer (Rocky) Tackett, Julie (TJ) Clark, and Anthony Conners, who were especially close to their Aunt.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Trost in 2007; brothers, Howard Conners, Eric Conners; and sisters-in-law, Charlotte Conners and Ila Conners.
