Veronica (Ranalli) Priest, 68, of Newark, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021.  She was born in Newark, Ohio on October 12, 1952, to the late Richard and Veronica (Annarino) Ranalli.

A member of St. Francis de Sales Church and1971 graduate of Newark High School, Veronica worked for many years as a bookkeeper at State Farm Insurance and X Design.

For over 20 years, Veronica opened her home and was a foster mom for many children in need. She loved to crochet, making countless blankets and gifts for the many people she cared for.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Veronica (Trent) Harter, Richie Priest, Julia Priest, and Arianna Priest; 8 grandchildren, Jonathon, Adam, Cooper, Mason, Khloe, Veronica, Payton, and Joshua;  great-granddaughter Alyivia; former husband, Ronald Priest; brothers, Richard Ranalli and Frank (Debbie) Ranalli; many nieces and nephews; and the countless foster children whom she cared for over the years.

In addition to her parents, Veronica was preceded in death her son, Adam Priest.

Calling hours will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Tuesday, January 12, 2021.  Masks will be required and social distancing is requested.  Funeral services will be held privately.
