Vallee Constance Atkinson, 87, of Heath, passed away peacefully at the Inn at Chapel Grove on Friday, August 27, 2021. She was born in Ocean Springs, Mississippi on July 22, 1934, to the late Percy and Ruby (Williams) Noel.

Vallee was a charter member of St. Leonard Catholic Church and a member of their Rosary Guild.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband Roy while they both worked with NASCAR for 10 years.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Jill Atkinson and Ginger (Richard) Zipf; grandchildren, Benjamin (Ashley) Zipf, Adam (Jillian) Zipf, Kaleb (Emily) Vermillion, and Jenna Vermillion; great-grandchildren, Scott, Grayson, Raina, Eli, Julien, and Ella; son-in-law, Kevin Vermillion; and cousin, Mark (Dorothy) Atkinson.

In addition to her parents, Vallee was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Atkinson and her brother Charles (Ida) Noel.

Funeral services celebrating the lives of Vallee and Roy Atkinson will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 12:30 P.M., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, with Fr. William Hritsko as celebrant. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11-12:30 P.M., Wednesday, prior to the service.  Inurnment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with military honors for Roy provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
