A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Ursula P. (Rauch) Lopo, 83, of Newark, will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 11 A.M., Tuesday, February 2, 2021, with Msgr. Paul Enke as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Ursula, a parishioner of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, died at Altercare South on Thursday, January 28, 2021.  She was born in Newark, Ohio on April 28, 1937, to the late Louis J. and Alice L. (Mattingly) Rauch.

Ursula was a 1955 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and former employee of Ohio Power.  She was a homemaker at heart, devoted to her family and creating a home filled with faith and love.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Karen (Tom) Armstrong and Joan (William) Schoenling III; grandchildren, Hilary (Jeff) Balltrip, Margaret (Jarrod) Swift, and Andrew Clark; soon to be great-grandson, Wyatt Michael; sister, Rosemary (Gene) Falck; brother-in-law, Vincent Polcyn; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ursula was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Rudolph M. Lopo Jr.; siblings, Loretta (Harry) Truck, Joe (Betty) Rauch, Tom (Mary Lou) Rauch, and Monica (Joseph Zalewski).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Ursula's name be made to St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 785 Newark Granville Road, Granville, OH 43023; Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, OH 43058; or the Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
