Funeral services celebrating the life of Thomas A. Walker, 63, of St. Louisville, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 7 P.M., Wednesday, April 19, 2023, with Deacon Patrick Wilson as celebrant.  Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 4-7 P.M., Wednesday, prior to the service. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

Tom died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 13, 2023. He was born in Newark, Ohio on February 11, 1960, to the late Harry T. and Miriam R. (Trowbridge) Walker.

He was a 1979 graduate of Joint Vocational School (currently C-Tec) where he studied the trade of welding. He retired from the County Highway Department following 38 years of service, worked with Service Welding, and was owner and operator of Walk-R-Way Welding. Tom had also become an instructor at C-Tec in their Adult Welding Program.

Tom had a giving spirit, and often volunteered his time to help those around him. He was a family man, and cherished "his boys".

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 26 years, Barbara (Selby) Walker; his children, Jessica (Mike) Worthy and Aften (Stuart) Rhodes; step-children, Katherine (Glenn) Miller, Corey Clay, and Eric Pickrel; 4 grandchildren 3 great-grandchildren; dear nephews, Jayce and Eddie Overbey, and Matt Walker; siblings, Lynda Heightshoe, Patti Buckley, Diana (Bob) Flanagan, and Harry (Flora) Walker; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name can be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
