Terry Keith Frame, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Terry was born on August 16, 1941, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late John Robert and Janet Eloise (Young) Frame.

Terry, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, was a man of many talents and passions. He worked as an electrician for over 30 years with Powell Electric and was a Newark City Councilman before becoming the Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Newark, where he was instrumental in starting the bike path system, TJ Evans fishing ponds, and the ice-skating rink in Newark.

He was dedicated to making his community a better place and was deeply involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations.

In addition to his professional and community involvement, Terry was also an avid adventurer and outdoor enthusiast. Terry lived a life full of friendships, adventure and passion. He was an accomplished scuba diver, having explored shipwrecks in the Virgin Islands and bottomless sinkholes in Florida. He also scuba dived for the Licking County Sheriff's Department and aided in the recovery of the Silver Bridge collapse at the New River Gorge in West Virginia.

Terry enjoyed many outdoor activities throughout his life. He loved smelt fishing with his friends in Canada and fishing on Lake Erie and the Atlantic Ocean in Florida. Terry once had his pilot's license and enjoyed flying small planes. Terry was also an avid gardener who enjoyed canning his bounty each year. He was a gourmet cook known for his bread and scotch eggs. Terry and Terrie hosted several parties and enjoyed socializing with friends, including at their favorite spots in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida and Orange Beach, Alabama.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Terrie (nee D'Yarmett) Frame; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorei (David) Kraft and Kristen (Graham) Campbell; his grandson, Nick Reinhard (Madison White) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Terry's beloved cats, Smokey and Sheba. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
