Funeral services for Ted Rodes Williams 63, of Thornville, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 27, 2017 with Rev. Karen Chakoian as celebrant.
Ted, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Granville, died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. He was born in Newark, Ohio on October 27, 1953 to the late Charles R. and Virginia "Gintsy" (Rodes) Williams.
A 1972 graduate of Granville High School, Ted received his accounting degree from The Ohio Sate University and was currently working as a CPA with Zehnder-Smith CPA, Dublin. Ted, often seen enjoying a cigar, was fascinated with astronomy and was a member of the Columbus Astronomical Society. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and over the years had fine tuned his love for photography.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kay (Wollenberg) Williams; son, Guy (Tara) Williams; daughter, Amy (Parker) Jarvis; sister, Nancy Campolo; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Douglas (Judith) Wollenberg, Brian (Vicki) Wollenberg, Timothy (Heather) Wollenberg, and Linda (Daniel) Caron; many cousins, especially David Williams whom Ted considered more of a brother; aunts, uncles; and his longtime friends from the cigar shop and weight watchers.
In addition to his parents, Ted Was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Francis "Frank" G. Campolo.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M., Sunday, February 26, 2017.
