A Mass of Christian Burial for Suzanne Rae Neumeyer, 79, of New Albany, will be held at St. Leonard Catholic Church 10 A.M., Friday, August 16, 2024, with Fr. Gentry as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, Valley City, OH.
Suzanne died on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Wesley Woods Assisted Living, New Albany, OH. She was born in Medina, OH on February 17, 1945 to the late Guy and Dorothy (Armbruster) Penick.
Suzanne attended Medina High School and worked at Bank Ohio, H.R. Shay Optometry, and Park National Bank. Following her retirement at Park National Bank, Suzanne was a member of the Red Hatter's Society.
She was an active and faithful parishioner of St. Leonard Catholic Church, a doting grandmother, mother, and wife. Suzanne enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren baking cookies and playing games, as well as shopping and decorating. She had a great love for all animals, but she particularly loved horses.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 57 years, Robert Neumeyer; her children, James (Jill) Neumeyer, Karen (Damian) Hammond, Mark (Molly) Neumeyer; grandchildren Olivia Mirmohamed, Ryan Neumeyer, Sophia Mirmohamed, Amelia Neumeyer, Evan Hammond, Ethan Hammond, Jack Neumeyer, and Lila Neumeyer; sister- in- law, Rita (Neumeyer) Hist; brother- in- law, David Neumeyer; very special cousins/friends Bill and Kathy Lattig; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Pat (Neumeyer) Neptune; brother-in-law, Kenny Hist; mother-in-law, Dorothy (Kramer) Neumeyer; and father-in-law, George Neumeyer.
Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-6 P.M., Thursday, August 15, 2024 with a Vigil Service held at 5:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Suzanne's name to St. Vincent de Paul or Mid Ohio Food Bank.
