A Memorial Mass for Stephen Paul Yanka has been held at Saint John XXIII Catholic Church in Fort Myers, Florida.

Stephen P. Yanka, 53, born April 14, 1964 in Ohio to his loving parents, Paul and Antoinette "Toni" Yanka. He grew up in Newark, Ohio with four brothers; Bob, Dave, Pete, and Tom. Steve graduated from Newark Catholic High School where he met his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Mary. They married in June of 1984 and had three children together; Jen, Liz, and Joe.

Steve worked very hard and had an amazing work ethic. He held several managerial positions at various retail companies. He always took great care of his family and had a lot of fun with his late wife, kids, and their dogs. Steve was a great baker and made beautiful birthday cakes. He loved hanging out by the pool and going to the beach. He also loved riding his motorcycle with Mary and vacationing with her in Orlando.

Steve has gifted his children and family with amazing memories of a fun-loving, gentle, kind man; that is how he will always be remembered. He has gone to be with Mary and his soul is at rest. His family knows that they have reunited in heaven and are now watching over them.
