Stacey Lynn Wise's Obituary
A Funeral Mass for Stacey Lynn "Aunt Sissy" Wise, 47, of Charlotte, NC, and formerly of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 7, 2015, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest, as celebrant. Inurnment will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Stacey died in Roanoke Rapids, NC on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on February 26, 1968 to John Wise and Linda (Quinn) Wise Frank, both of Newark.
A 1986 graduate of Newark High School, Stacey received her Bachelor Degree from Marquette University and her Master Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She worked for many years as a clinical therapist and was currently the clinical director at Strategic Intervention, a job that she absolutely loved.
Stacey, a good friend who loved socializing with people, was always ready for an adventure. Attending concerts, traveling, or running a marathon, Stacey was there with a smile. She was greatly devoted to her family with much love to share, and became affectionately known as "Aunt Sissy" to many of her friends and their children.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two brothers and sister-in-law, Keith and Jennifer Wise and Scott Wise; her nephew whom she adored, A.J. Wise; many aunts and uncles; cousins; lifelong friends; and her beloved dog, Norman. Stacey is also survived by the family of Michael Lennon, who amidst their grief generously gave Stacey a second chance at life.
Stacey was preceded in death by her dear nephew, Michael Craig Wise.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2015 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil and Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
To honor Stacey's fifteen years as a heart transplant survivor, the family requests that memorials be made to Donate Life Ohio, c/o The Second Chance Trust Fund, Ohio Department of Health, SCTF, 246 North High Street, 8th Floor, Columbus, OH 43215; or Donate Life North Carolina, P.O. Box 51262, Durham, NC 27717.
