Obituary

A Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley Lee McCrady-Lupton, 81, of Heath, will be held at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Tuesday January 30, 2024, with Fr. Mike Gentry as celebrant.  Friends and family may call at the church for one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be held in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, later that afternoon.

Shirley, a parishioner of St. Leonard Catholic Church, died at Select Specialty of Newark on Friday, January 26, 2024. She was born in Jerome, Ohio on August 12, 1942, to the late Dalton and Edith (Leach) Weaver.

A 1960 graduate of Berne Union High School, Shirley received her Associate Degree from The Ohio State University Newark Campus and was a member of the Desk and Derrick Association. She worked for many years in the offices of Jade Oil and the Licking County Health Department.

Shirley was a hobbyist extraordinaire and enjoyed crafting in many forms, especially painting and quilting.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Lupton; son, Christopher (Patricia) McCrady; daughter, Kimberly (David) Blackstone; step-children, Kimberly Hage, Mark Lupton, and Matt (Fanny) Lupton; grandchildren, Richard (Chelsea); step-grandchildren, Karson, Karly, Kenny, Danny, Douglas Cerna, Sean, and Nicolas; great-grandchildren, Radeain and Ewan; step-great-grandchildren, Riley, Luka, Isaac, Elliana, and Sophia; siblings, Carolyn Jean Nusser, Paul Weaver, Wallace Duane (Mary Louise) Weaver, Sandy (Ronald) Klausing, and Steve (Judy) Weaver; sisters-in-law, Linda Hayes and Susie Ruh; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her first husband Richard D. McCrady in 1980; infant sister, Susan, brothers-in-law, Jack Nusser, Bob Kuhn, Red Hayes, and Butch Ruh; and sister-in-law, Donna Weaver.

The family requests memorials in Shirley's name be made to the American Cancer Society.
