Sherry Diane
Erhard
Nov 2, 1946 — Jun 22, 2025
Zanesville
A Mass of Christian Burial for Sherry Diane Erhard, 78, of Zanesville, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10 A.M., Friday, June 27, 2025, with Father Edward Keck as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Newark.
Sherry passed away at Genesis Hospital surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born in Newark, Ohio on November 2, 1946, to the late Vincent Valentine Victor and Ruth (Russell) Link.
A graduate of Blessed Sacrament Elementary and Newark Catholic High School, Sherry was known for her generous and vivacious spirit. She was diligent in sending greeting cards for every occasion and never met a stranger. While her children were school-aged, Sherry was active in the Zanesville Catholic Schools, volunteering at St. Nicholas and working at the Bishop Rosecrans High School Beanery.
As an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys, Sherry would often be heard giving her two cents to the coaches and officials while watching their games. After working at the Zanesville Kohl's for 10 years, she took full advantage of her lifetime discount after her retirement.
Sherry was happiest when with her family, adoring her grandchildren and laughing with her sons. Their many visits to the family cottage in Oscoda, Michigan brought her great joy and was her "happy place" that was a source of many cherished memories.
She will be greatly missed by her sons, Matthew L. Erhard (Scott Risner) and Christopher G. (Tiffany) Erhard; her beloved grandchildren, Camden, Hudson, Grayson, Colton, and Stetson; siblings, Carolyn (Jerry) Eshelman, Vicki Prouty, and Vince (Bonnie) Link; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert T. (Mary H.) Erhard, David A. (Kathleen M.) Erhard, Geoffrey M. (Amy A.) Erhard, and Don White; many nieces and nephews; and dear lifelong friends.
In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by an infant child, her husband, Gerald A. Erhard Jr.; and siblings, Marilyn White and Jim (Charlotte) Link.
Friends and family may call at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Thursday, June 26, 2025, with a Vigil Service held at 6:30 P.M.
