Sherrie Ann Kocher, 71, of Heath, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2026. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 24, 1954, to the late George and Jo Ann (Lindenbolt) Wycuff.
Sherrie grew up in Columbus, Ohio where she graduated from South High School and remained especially close with the Class of 1972 throughout her life. She was known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family and friends, and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her.
A proud Buckeye through and through, Sherrie was an avid Ohio State fan who rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her team. She built a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant. Following retirement, Sherrie made her home in the Newark area, where she embraced a slower pace of life. She especially enjoyed spending time boating on Buckeye Lake and visiting with friends, creating many lasting memories.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Randy; her children, Christopher (Molly), Michael (Molly), and Julie Valladares (Jacob); her treasured grandchildren, Joanna, Owen, Jarrod, Lucy, Amelia, and Noah; and her brother, Terry Wycuff. In addition to her parents, Sherrie was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry and Gary Wycuff. Sherrie will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services will be held at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4 P.M., Sunday, July 19, 2026, with Deacon Patrick Wilson as celebrant. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 2-4 P.M., Sunday, prior to the service.
