Funeral services honoring the life of Sharon Leigh Thompson, 61, of Westerville, will be held at Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 12 Noon, Friday, May 8, 2026, with Pastor Lisa Willey as celebrant. Calling will be held at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

Sharon was born in Illinois on May 26, 1964, to Joseph Wiley, of Newark, and the late Sharon (Carter) Wiley. She passed away at Mount Carmel St. Ann's on Monday, May 4, 2026.

A 1982 graduate of Licking Valley High School, Sharon received her B.A. in Business from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She spent her career focused on quality and safety and enjoyed her time with VS&Co. Sharon loved to vacation, spend time at the beach, and attend sporting events for her family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by her children, Amber Thompson and Thaddius (Casey) Thompson; siblings, Jenny Hall, Joe (Jeni) Wiley, and Todd Wiley; father, Joseph Wiley; and forever family friends, Katherine Barry, Rayane Holmes, and Andrea Hartman, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her mother, Sharon was preceded in death by her companion, Gary Martin.
