A Funeral Mass for Sandra Ann Brown, 79, of Brownsville, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 14, 2017 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Sandy, a parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2017 surrounded by her loving family, after a long courageous battle against cancer. She was born in Newark, Ohio on December 3, 1937 to the late George Fox and Edith (Patterson) Fox-Smith.

For several years, Sandy worked as the office manager for Dr. Donna McDonald at Moundbuilders Pediatrics. She enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds in the yard at her home in Brownsville, and was a member of the Brownsville Senior Citizens Group. Sandy loved collecting antiques, watching football, cooking and baking. She always decorated her home for every Holiday and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, and her little dog "Duke".

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph H. Brown Jr.; her sons, Jim and Tom Brown; her daughter, Audrey (Doug) Howard; her daughter-in-law Loria Brown (Joseph E. Brown, dec.); 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her brother, Joe (Jill) Bending; her sister, Carol (Buz) Koehler; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her oldest son, Joseph E. Brown; her step-father, Edward Smith; her sister, Fran E. (Joe) Williams; and her nephew, Michael A. Bending.

Friends and family may call from 5-7 P.M., Monday, February 13, 2017 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.

The family requests memorials in Sandy's name to the American Cancer Society Central Ohio Chapter, 5555 Frantz Rd. Dublin, OH 43017.
