Funeral services for Ruby G. Murray, 95, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 2, 2015 with Pastor Walter Bruah as celebrant. Interment will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Friends and family may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday.

Ruby died at the Newark Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, October 29, 2015. She was born in Eden, North Carolina on July 24, 1920, the daughter of Robert R. and Anna J. (Kimball) Saunders.

Ruby was retired from Gray Drugs where she worked for many years as a cashier. She is survived by her sons, Robert W. (Jane) Reed and Kenneth A. (Dolores) Reed; her daughter, Grace A. Vogelsong (Robert Weigend); 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and one great nephew.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Herman E. Murray.
