Funeral services celebrating the life of Rosemary C. Yingling, 70, of Thornville, will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, with Deacon Patrick Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Rosemary, a parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, died at the Pickering House, Lancaster on Friday, April 7, 2017. She was born in Newark, Ohio on November 18, 1946 to the late Joseph T. and Jessie E. (Gorley) McCarty.

Rosemary was a 1964 graduate of Newark Catholic High School and received a business degree from The Ohio State University where she was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She worked for many years as the Human Resources Director at Constar, as well as Renosol from where she retired. Prior to this time, Rosemary worked for several years in the payroll department at Holophane.

An avid Ohio State University Buckeye fan, Rosemary enjoyed golf and was a member of the Valley Hi Bowling League.

She is survived by her companion of 23 years, Henry "Hank" Muncie Jr.; her daughter, Gina (Scott) Broseus; step-daughters, Jennifer (Bryan) Rosengrant and Laurie (Tim) Shaw; grandchildren, Casey and Carley Cunningham; step-grandchild, Nathan; sister, Beverly (Robert) Bodkin; niece, Kathy (Malcolm) Creager; and nephew, Danny Dunlap.

In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Yingling; her sister, Janet (James) Maharg; and nephew, Joseph Maharg.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 4-7 P.M., Monday, April 10, 2017.
