Funeral services for Ronald Lee Edwards, 79, of Newark, will be held at Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 1, 2026, with Deacon Robert Ghiloni as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Newark. Calling will be held at the funeral home, 4-7 P.M., Friday, July 31, 2026, with a Vigil Service held at 6:30 P.M.

Ronald passed away at his home, surrounded by the love of his family, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio on January 26, 1947, the son of Stanley Edwards and Betsy (Crawford) Learn.

A 1965 graduate of Utica High School, Ronald retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass where he also served as past president of Local Union 1280 IAM.

Ron was a horse enthusiast and spent many years in the racing industry. He also enjoyed stock car racing and hunting.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Veronica (Annarino) Edwards; children, Kim (Terry) Pulley, Natalie (Kevin) Blake, Nick (Megan) Edwards, and R.J. (Monica) Edwards; sisters, Linda (Dave) Allen, Connie (Terry) Magers, Brenda (Ray) Mertz, and Sharon (Harlen) Hays; 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; step-mother, Charlotte Learn; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his birth parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his step-father, Ron Learn.
