Calling hours celebrating the life of Ronald D. Cochran, 67, of Newark, will be at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark; 5-7 P.M., Thursday, June 24, 2021.

Ronald, a 1972 graduate of Newark High School, died at his home on Monday, June 21, 2021.  He was born in Newark, Ohio on May 2, 1954, to the late Rolland D. and Glendina (Yarnelli) Cochran.

At an early age, Ronald joined the family business, Dagwood's Restaurant, where he worked for over 30 years as the cook and manager.  He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and watching the hummingbirds in his yard.  He liked motorcycles and cars, and spending time with his family.  Most recently, Ronald enjoyed the special time spent with his daughter Aleeya on Father's Day.

He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Aleeya Cochran and Willow (William) Hellinger, and their mother, Angela Hawkins; granddaughter, Chloe Hellinger; his brother, Philip Cochran, his sisters Bobbie (David) Koonts and Melissa Miller; nieces and nephews, Bobbi Jo Cochran, Brett J. Miller, Travis S. Cochran (Crystal Koski); great-nieces and nephews, Rayn Messina, Jamison Miller, D'onte Gibson, Mason and Avery Cochran; great-great-nieces and nephews, Rylen, Liam and Rylee Gartner; and his faithful canine companion "Zoe", his snake, "Spot", and his two cats, "Tommy Sue" and "Whispy".

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Kevin Miller.
