Rolland Dean Cochran, 85, of Newark, died at his home on Sunday, November 19, 2017.  He was born in Newark, Ohio on March 19, 1932 to the late W.L. and Nora (Kellar) Cochran.

Dean, a graduate of Newark High School, was the owner and operator of Dagwood's Restaurant for 62 years.  In addition, Dean operated several Laundromats and managed many rental properties over the years.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald Cochran and Philip Cochran; his daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie (David) Koonts and Melissa (Kevin) Cochran Miller, all of Newark; grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Cochran, Brett J. Miller, Travis S. Cochran (Crystal Koski), Willow Cochran, Aleeya Cochran; great-grandchildren, Rayn Messina, Jamison Miller, D'onte Gibson and Mason Cochran; great-great-grandchildren, Rylen and Liam Gartner; his sister, Karen Hahn; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Glendia Yarnelli Cochran; and his brother, Philip Cochran.
