Obituary

Private funeral services for Roberta "Bobbie" Villacres, 78, of Newark, will be held for her family at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Bobbie, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died at Dublin Methodist Hospital on Thursday, October 27, 2016. She was born in Kenton, Ohio on September 11, 1938 to the late Joseph G. and Helen (White) Wolf Sr. She grew up on the family farm near LaRue, Ohio, and was a graduate of St. Mary High School in Marion, Ohio.

Bobbie was greatly devoted to raising and caring for her family. She was also a talented seamstress, creating her own wedding gown and many items for her children and grandchildren over the years. After her children were grown, Bobbie enjoyed collecting pottery and felt success when she would stumble across a piece of McCoy tucked away at a sale. In later years, she was very involved with genealogy, spending many hours researching and recording family history.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jorge Villacres, whom she married at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on July 16, 1960. Bobbie is also survived by her children, Thomas (Brenda), Edward (Penny), John, James (Julie), Mary, and Margaret (Michael) Carey; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Gabriel) Watt, Heather, Nicholas, Andrew, Amanda, Alyssa, Edward Jr., Isabella, James, Jessica, Jenna, Katherine, Meagan; great-granddaughter, Gabriela; her siblings, Rose Marie Pfeiffer, Regina (Patrick) Kelleher, Joseph (Patricia) Wolf Jr., Marilyn Wolf, and Francine Craig; sister-in-law, Martha Bagrowski; and many nieces and nephews.

The family requests memorials to the American Heart Association, PO Box 182039 Department 013, Columbus, Ohio 43218-2039.
