Robert F. Leamy Jr., a member of St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, passed away at his residence on January 2, 2026.  Robb was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on February 3, 1942, to the late Robert F. Leamy Sr. and Madeline (Becht) Leamy.

Robb was a graduate of Academy High School in Erie, then attended Edinboro University for his undergraduate education.  He completed his Master's Degree in Education at The Ohio State University.  He went on to spend 36 years teaching 5th and 6th grade, math and science, in the Reynoldsburg City School system.  Robb moved to Granville, Ohio in 1993, where he and his family made remarkable memories over the years.

Robb was happiest when he was outside, enjoying nature.  He and his wife, explored numerous National Parks, hiking and camping their way across the country.  They even climbed to the summit of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the continental US.  In his free time, Robb enjoyed amateur radio, using the call letters WB8BHU.  He also kept busy playing the piano and volunteering with local animal rescue groups.  However, Robb's greatest joy was taking part in the lives of his three grandchildren.  He was a proud Papa, as he watched them grow up.

Robb is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 52 years, Barbara; children, Miranda (Mike) Krapf, Megan Leamy, and John Joseph (Sue) Layne; grandchildren, Sophia, Jack and Bryce; and sisters, Kathleen Trost, Mary Susan Morinelli, and Laureen Ditch, along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robb was preceded in death by his newborn child and by his brother-in-law, Ralph Morinelli.

Memorial calling hours for Robert F. Leamy Jr. will be held at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 1-3 P.M., Saturday, February 7, 2026.
