Calling hours celebrating the life of Robert "Bobb" Holtz, 55, of Newark, will be at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark; 11-1 P.M., Monday, March 8, 2021.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Bobb, a 1984 graduate of Newark High School, died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.  He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 19, 1965, the son of Rhoena (Murphy) Scaffide of Newark, Ohio.

Bobb worked in the maintenance department for The Newark Advocate for over 20 years.  He enjoyed watching sports, throwing darts, and listening to music, especially classic rock.

In addition to his mother, Bobb is survived by his sisters, Cathy McNabb and Darla Scaffide; step-sister, Eleanor "Ellie" Hedges; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bobb was preceded in death by his step-father, Pete Scaffide; and step-siblings, Danny (Pearl) Scaffide Sr., Charles Scaffide, and Mary Ellen Williams; and step brother-in-law, Jan Hedges.
