A Funeral Mass for Richard "Dylan" Patrick, 18, of St. Louisville, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Thursday, July 17, 2014, with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Patrick Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia.
Dylan died in St. Louisville on Saturday July 12, 2014. He was born in Riverdale, Georgia January 14, 1996 to Kathleen Selby Patrick and the late William L. Patrick.
Dylan was baptized at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where many of his family are parishioners. Dylan attended Utica High School where he competed on the wrestling and baseball teams.
In addition to his mother, Dylan is survived by his brother Corporal William S. Patrick of Twentynine Marine Corp Air Ground Combat Center, California; his sister Laura Patrick, of the home; half-sister Tracy Patrick of Georgia; his grandmother Gizella E. Selby; his aunt and uncles, Michael M. Selby, Bernard D. Selby, David J. (Joan) Selby, Robert C. Selby, Terry W. (Joanna) Selby, Donald J. Selby, Barbara S. (Thomas) Walker, all of Newark; Mark A. (Nancy) Selby of Hebron, Kentucky; his aunt Lucille (Don) Hindman; uncles Alred Patrick IV and James Patrick of Georgia; Aunt Arainia (Ned) Stinson of Alabama; and many cousins and friends in Georgia.
In addition to his father, Dylan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Alfred M. and Evelyn Patrick; maternal grandfather Richard A. Selby, Sr.; uncle Richard A. Selby Jr.; cousins David J. Selby and Eric D. Selby.
Friends and family may call from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 8:30 P.M.
