Funeral services celebrating the life of Dick Humphreys, 91, of Heath, will be held at Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 11 A.M., Wednesday, July 3, 2024, with Deacon Patrick Wilson as celebrant. Calling will be held at the funeral home for one-hour prior to the service. Private Burial will be held in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Dick passed away at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Wednesday, June 27, 2024. He was born in Newark, Ohio on October 16, 1932, to the late Samuel Richard Humphreys and Mattye (Landrum) Humphreys Peyton.

Dick, a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, was a graduate of Newark High School, The Ohio State University, and Central Michigan University. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was retired from the Department of Defense.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Carol Humphreys; son, Todd (Mary) Humphreys of Newark; daughter, Susan (Larry) Saunders of Salem Oregon; 4 grandchildren, Cassia (Victor) Ysaguirre of Fort Worth, Texas, Aaron (Kasondra) Humphreys of Burleson, Texas, Maggie (Ryan) O'Malley of Monmouth, Oregon, and Libby (Ben) Cunningham of Salem, Oregon; 11 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Dean (Sheila) Fulk; and special niece, Tonya (Marc) Camp.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Humphreys Fulk; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Doris and Joseph Bagent.
