Funeral services for Richard "Dick" Douglas Hendricks, 86, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 4, 2017 with Rev. JCP Sullivan, Parish Priest, as celebrant. Friends and family may call for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Dick died at his home on Sunday, April 2, 2017. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 5, 1930 to the late Orville and Etta May (Craig) Hendricks.

For many years, Dick was the owner and operator of Hendricks Auto Service and had also been employed with Dayton Precision.

He is survived by his wife Bernadine "Dee" (Koury) Hendricks; his children, Koury Hendricks, Bernadette Gartside, Ricky (Linda) Hendricks and Rod Hendricks; three grandchildren, Xavier, Maximilian, and Sebastian Gartside, and their father, Steve Gartside; brothers, Dale (Carol) Hendricks, Ronald Hendricks; sister, Jackie Drayer; and several nieces and nephews.
