A private graveside funeral service for Richard "Dick" L. Baker, 81, of Jacksontown will be held at Jacksontown Cemetery.

Dick died at The Ohio State University Medical Center on Saturday, December 31, 2016. He was born in Newark, Ohio on January 15, 1935 to the late Robert and Bernice (Hottinger) Baker.

Dick, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, was retired from Schuler's Engineering Company and had also worked at the Hometown Inn. For many years, Dick worked as a volunteer fireman with the Licking Township Fire Company.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Paul Crowe of Jacksontown, Marsha and George Hajjar of Powell, and Ann and Brent Magee of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Maryssa Crowe, Brendan & Aly Magee, and Blake Hajjar; his great-grandson, Paul Crowe; and his sister, Mitzi Gibson.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Mary Alice (Clayton) "Mac" Baker; and an infant brother.
