Phyllis, a participant of Second Presbyterian Church, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Friday, August 20, 2021, on the date of her 55 th wedding anniversary.  She was born in Quaker City, Ohio on April 30, 1942, to the late Earl R. Eagon and Madge E. (Ankrum) Eagon Fitch.

She was a 1960 graduate of Newark High School and played the baritone saxophone in the NHS Band.  Following graduation, Phyllis attended 3-B School of Beauty and worked locally as a hair stylist.  Most notably, Phyllis was the office manager for many years at her husband's realty office, Century 21 Frank Frye Real Estate.

Phyllis was an avid reader, gardener, and member of the "Golden Girls of 1960". She enjoyed traveling with her husband and dancing to their song "Wooly Bully".  A doting grandma, Phyllis loved to attend the many sporting and dance events of her grandchildren, truly the apples of her eye.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years, Franklin "Frank" Frye; her children, Elizabeth (Mike) Crist, and Philip (Molly) Frye; grandchildren, Michael, Zack, Rachel, and Anna Crist; and Grace Frye; sister, Gainel Huckleberry; step-sister, Sally (Tom) Henry; step-brother-in-law, Jim Hopkins; nieces, Sue Church and Nancy (Tim) Holladay.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her step-father, Delmer L. Fitch; brother-in-law, Paul Huckleberry; step-sister, Margaret Hopkins; and nephew-in-law, Bill Church.

The family requests that memorials in Phyllis' name be made to Camp O'Bannon, 9688 Butler Road NE, Newark, OH 43055; or the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430, Newark, OH 43058.
