Private graveside services celebrating the life of Philip D. Mantonya, 83, of Heath, will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Fr. Dave Sizemore as celebrant.

Philip died at Licking Memorial Hospital on Thursday, December 17, 2020.  He was born in Newark, Ohio on July 29, 1937, to the late Dean and Mary (Settles) Mantonya.

A 1957 graduate of Newark High School, Philip served with the United States National Guard and was retired from DFAS where he worked in quality control for many years. Prior to this, Philip worked at Roper and Owens Corning.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and rooting for the Cleveland Browns.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Kay (Ratliff) Mantonya; his daughters, Kelly (Doug) Stutz and Whitney Mantonya; and grandsons, Noah and Avery Stutz.

The family requests that memorials in Philip's name be made to the Licking County Humane Society, 825 Thornwood Drive, Heath, Ohio 43056.
