Private family services for Patricia Sue Reed, 85, of Newark, will be held at Newark Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mark Pierce as celebrant.

Patricia passed away at the Thornville Health and Rehabilitation Center on Thursday, May 19, 2016. She was born in Xenia, Ohio on January 19, 1931 to the late Pearl and Myrtle Blackburn.

Patricia was a graduate of Kingman High School in Wilmington, Ohio. She enjoyed dancing, completing puzzles, reading, playing bingo, and above all, spending time with her family. For many years, Patricia was the lead resident representative at Autumn at the Lake, currently, Thornville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She is survived by her children, Steven Shaw of Colorado, Linda Shaw (John) Williams of Newark, Randy (Vicki) Shaw of Jacksontown, and Kim Shaw Debevoise of Newark; her grandchildren, Zac (Lindsay) Shaw, Gabe (Crystal) Shaw, Levi Shaw, Jason Debevoise, Aaron (Dustie Leindecker) Debevoise, Cody (Kalie) Debevoise, and Kimberly Thompson; step-grandchildren, Tyson Williams, Kristopher (Amanda) Williams, and John Williams; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Adin, Weston and Grayson Debevoise, Cooper, Devin, Addyson and Bohen Shaw; step-great-grandchildren, Brayden and Owen Williams; her brothers, Paul Blackburn and Richard (June) Blackburn; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ned Reed; infant daughter, Gale Lynn Shaw; brothers, James and William Blackburn; and sisters, Beverly Sallee and Brenda Fite.
