A Funeral Mass for Patricia Ruth Molnar, 86, of Newark, will be held at The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 12, 2017 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Inurnment will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Patricia died at her home on Sunday, April 9, 2017. She was born in Newark, Ohio on April 21, 1930 to the late Louis J. and Mabel E. (Hollingshead) Deustch. Following the early death of her father, Patricia lived with her grandparents, Isaac and Gertrude (Sheely) Phillips until she married her husband, Charles G. Molnar.

Patricia, a 1947 graduate of Newark High School, earned a BA in Honors English from Ohio University where she graduated with cum laude honors in 1991. She was employed by Kaiser Aluminum, Owens Corning, and was a secretary for the Roper Corporation and Pennzoil Products Company. Following her retirement in 1992, Patricia continued to work for several years with Kelly Services at Owens Corning and Diebold.

She was a longtime parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a Lector. She also served as chairman of the Blessed Sacrament Jubilee Committee and was a member of the Pastoral Council.

Patricia was the Charter President of the Knox/ Licking Deanery Serra Club, past State President of the Ohio Business & Professional Women's Club, past President of the Newark BPW Club, past President of the Ohio/ BPW Florence Allen Scholarship Fund, Secretary to the Board of Trustees of Goodwill Industries. In 1995, Patricia was the recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Pride Builders Award.
In the 1980's, Patricia and Charlie were avid round and square dancers. Together they also travelled to Europe, China, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Greece, Alaska and many other sites within in the United States.

Patricia was the loving mother to her children, Jeffrey (Beth Copenhefar) Molnar, David Molnar, Mark Molnar, and Trina Marie Molnar. Her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Christopher, (Lora Dalby) Molnar, Gabriel (Emmie Bishop) Molnar, Natalie (Nick) Rader, Anna and Katrina Molnar; her precious great-grandchildren, Holden Rader, Oliver, Miles and Lucy Molnar;

In addition to her parents and grandparents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Molnar on October 29, 2010; her granddaughter, Sarah Molnar; her daughter-in-law, Sandra "Susie" Molnar; and her sisters, Barbara Jean Deutsch and Maxine (Mintum) Orr.
