Graveside funeral services to celebrate the life of Patricia Louise (Gilbert) Ryan Hall, 67, of Newark, will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 10 A.M., Wednesday, November 6, 2019, with Fr. Anthony Lonzo as celebrant.

Following a lengthy illness, Patti passed away peacefully at Licking Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 28, 2019. She was born in Newark, Ohio on October 15, 1952 to the late Lester E. "Jum" and Elda "Toots" June (Miller) Gilbert.

A 1970 graduate of Newark High School, Patti's attention to detail in many aspects of her life made her a very talented artist, singer, baker and cook. Her great sense of humor and kindness made everyone feel so special and loved. Because of this, Patti had an untold number of great friends. She was so beautiful inside and out and took great pride in making sure that she looked her best. Patti loved her family so much and was a great role model for her son and grandchildren; emphasizing how important it was to always look and act their best in life.

While Patti was growing up, she was very close to the many families and children in "Gilbert's Trailer Park" which was owned by her grandparents, located on Forry St. and "Lover's Lane". Patti and her two cousins, Maureen and Sally Gilbert were lifelong best of friends.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Robert Hall; son, Michael W. and Michelle (Elliott) Ryan; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and Alexis, great-grandchildren, Colton, Arianna, Carson, Matthew and Aubriella; brothers, Michael T. and Beverly (White) Gilbert and Daniel and Lisa (Soenon) Gilbert; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and her last surviving aunt, Jeanette (Halisey) Gilbert.

In addition to her parents, Patti was preceded in death by her grandparents (who helped raise Patti and her brothers), James R. & Ruth (Nutter) Gilbert Sr., John George and Gladys (Woody) Miller; sister, Connie L. (Charles) Woltz; nephew, Travis Woltz; and cousin Maureen E. Gilbert.
