Funeral services for Pamelia Sue Roberts, 83, of Newark, will be held at Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 6:30 P.M., January 14, 2026, with Fr. Mike Gentry as celebrant. Calling will be held from 4-6:30 P.M. prior to the service. Pamelia will be buried at Dayton National Cemetery, 1 P.M., January 16, 2026.
Pamelia died on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born in Newark on February 17, 1942, to the late Paul Swan Pintz Jr. and Olive (Morrison) Pintz.
A parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Pamelia was a 1960 graduate of Newark Catholic High School and member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She attended the McConnell Airline School, becoming a junior stewardess on Western Airlines. Pamelia also took on a variety of roles including clerk at the State Library, census taker, and volunteer with the Minot Air Force Base Strategic Air Command. In addition, Pamelia supported her children as a Newark High School "band mom" and volunteer with the Licking County 4-H Band. She was very artistic and enjoyed decorating cakes, ceramic and tole painting, crocheting, and sewing.
Pamelia will be greatly missed by her children, Kristin Roberts and Shawn (Rebecca) Roberts; grandchildren, Brittany (Nicholas) Boyd, Taylor (Brittany) Roberts, and Jessica Roberts; her great-grandchildren, Dean and Alana Boyd and Onyx and Opal Roberts; sisters, Emily Bush, Paula (Richard) McDonald, and Margaret "Peggy" (Woody) Grassi; sister-in-law, Kathleen Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pamelia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, David; and her brothers-in-law, Dan Bush, Raymond (Norma) Swisher, Thomas (Jana) Swisher, and Joseph Roberts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Pamelia's name be made to the Urban F. Meyer III and Shelley M. Meyer Fund for Cancer Research, c/o The Ohio State University Foundation, P.O. Box 736096, Chicago, IL 60673-6096.
