A Funeral Mass for Nancy Marie Harmon, 64, of Pataskala, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 9, 2016 with Rev. G. Michael Gribble, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Nancy died at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Saturday, December 3, 2016. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 3, 1952 to the late Joseph and Alberta (Englebert) Grimmelsman.
Nancy worked for many years with OhioHealth as a registered sonographer which she also taught at COTC. She enjoyed gardening and especially took pleasure in planting trees. Over the years, Nancy worshiped any opportunity she had to travel to new places and experience new things. Above all, Nancy cherished the time spent with her family, especially enjoying her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard Harmon; her children, Jeremy (Amber) Haynes, Krista (Daniel) Guerin, Joseph (Elizabeth) Harmon, and Mary Harmon (Jon Kyger); her grandchildren, Jayde, Xander, Xyla, and Evelyn; her siblings, Mary Jo (Thomas) Florence, Joseph (Jane) Grimmelsman, and Thomas (Lynn) Grimmelsman; sister-in-law, Patty Grimmelsman; father-in-law, James Harmon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Haynes and his parents, Orena and Paul Haynes; her brother, Jack Grimmelsman; and her mother-in-law, Geraldine Harmon.
Friends and family may call from 7-9 P.M., Thursday, December 8, 2016, at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 8:30 P.M.
