Graveside funeral services with military honors for Michael Matthew Selby Sr., 72, of St. Louisville, will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 12:30 P.M., Friday, May 24, 2024, with Fr. Mike Gentry as celebrant and the Licking County Veterans Alliance providing military honors.

Mike, a United States Army Vietnam Veteran, died at Legacy of Dublin on Friday, December 8, 2023. He was born in Newark, Ohio on January 31, 1951, to the late Richard and Gizella (Kovreg) Selby.

He was a 1969 graduate of Newark High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with Accounting from The Ohio State University, 1976. He became a CPA and opened Mike Selby Accounting, operating in downtown Newark.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Matthew (Stacey) Selby Jr., daughter, Farryn Cone; grandchildren, Lucas and Serenity; siblings, Bernard "Butch" Selby, David (Joan) Selby, Terry (Joanna) Selby, Donald Selby, Mark (Nancy) Selby, Kathleen Selby, and Barbara Walker; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by siblings, Richard A. Selby Jr. and Robert Selby; brother-in-law, Tom Walker; and nephews, David Selby, Eric Selby, and Dylan Patrick.
