A Funeral Mass for Michael Steven Dembski, 68, of Newark, will be held at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Michael died at Grant Hospital on Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was born in West Jefferson, Ohio on March 7, 1946 to the late Leonard and Pauline (O'Brien) Dembski.

Michael attended the Church of the Blessed Sacrament and worked as a machinist at Universal Veneer. He supported the American Red Cross and recently received the 8 gallon donation pin. Michael was also very proud of his 10 year coin earned at AA.

As a sports enthusiast, Michael enjoyed supporting the local Ohio sports teams and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Michael is survived by his children, Steven (Laura) Dembski of Lansing, Scott (Andrea) Dembski of Grove City, Andrea Dembski, and Joseph Dembski, both of Newark; 5 grandchildren, Cade, Jacob, Blake, Hannah, and Emma; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick (Sandy), Mark (Lynn), Rick, David, and Charles; his sister, Mary Pritchard, all of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his wife Stella; and brother, Leonard.
