Calling hours celebrating the life of Michael P. Davis, 73, of Granville, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, from 2-4 P.M. Sunday, June 24, 2018.

Michael died at his home on Sunday, June 17, 2018. He was born in Newark, Ohio on February 5, 1945 to the late Patrick Michael and Dorothy Irene (Siegel) Bourke.

Mike was a 1963 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, a member of the first class to complete all 4 years of the new school. He attended The Ohio State University where he received a BS in Human Ecology and Masters in Financial Economics. Mike began his career as a teacher's aide at the former Starlight Elementary. He retired from the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities where he worked in the photo and print shop.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Kennedy) Davis; his brother, Todd Davis; his sister, Debra (Steven) Hupp; and his nephew, Chad Hupp.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son, Scott Kennedy Davis; and his nephew Michael J. Hupp.
