A Mass of Christian Burial for Maxine Jeannette Gebhart, 93, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 12 Noon, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with Fr. David Sizemore as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Maxine died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Thursday, January 24, 2019. She was born in Newark on April 25, 1925 to the late Herbert A. and Lucy E. (Mattingly) Nold.
She was a lifelong parishioner of St Francis de Sales Catholic Church and member of their ARC Club, Women of St. Francis, Newborns in Need, Eucharistic Minister, and charter member of the Ministry of Comfort. Maxine was also very proud to have been a 40-year survivor of breast cancer.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Richard (Lisa) Gebhart; James (Jeanne) Gebhart; David (Theresa) Gebhart, Deborah Dusenberry, and Edward (Colleen) Gebhart; daughter-in-law, Sheila (Dean) Fulk; grandchildren, Doug Dusenberry, Edward (Tess) Dusenberry, Amber Dusenberry, Nicholas (Chrissy) Gebhart, Kellyn (Andy) Broderick, Mark Gebhart, Michael Gebhart, Megan Gebhart, John (Andrea) Gebhart, Jessica Gebhart, Joe Gebhart, Matthew Gebhart, Andy Gebhart, Jordan (Megan) Fulk and Tara Ryan-Gallagher; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Rita Wimer; brother, Bernard (Pat) Nold; sisters-in-law, Marcy Nold, Dorothy Tanner; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Gebhart; her son, John Gebhart; infant great-grandson, John Carter Gebhart; infant great-granddaughter Riley Grace Dusenberry; daughter-in-law, Shelli Gebhart; son-in-law, Randy Dusenberry; brother, Herbert Nold Jr.; brother-in-law, Robert Wimer.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M. on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
