A Funeral Mass for Mary Elizabeth Winters, 74, of Newark, will be held at The Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 with Fr. Jonathan Wilson as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Mary died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born in Fort Fairfield, Maine on June 7, 1939 to the late Elizabeth Mary Levesque.
Mary was a parishioner of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament and a member of the Red Hat Society and Life Again Club. She also volunteered for many years at the local food pantry.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Margaret and Ray Morrison, and Judy Anna and Terry Winegardner; all of Newark; her sons and daughter-in-law, Francis Winters Jr., Thomas and Tammy Winters, John Francis Winters, all of Newark, and Kirk Edward Winters of London; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Grace Lees, Jean Ritchey, and Gloria Winegardner.
In addition to her mother, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sharon Winters.
Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M., Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
