Funeral services for Marvin L. McEntire, 83, of Newark, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 12 Noon, Friday, July 24, 2015 with Rev. G. Michael Gribble as celebrant, and Masonic Services provided by the New England Masonic Lodge #4. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 10-12 Noon, prior to the funeral service.

Marvin died at the Flint Ridge Rehabilitation and Care Center on Wednesday, July 21, 2015. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 8, 1932 to the late Otho and Anna (Partlow) McEntire.

Marvin was retired from F&L Aerospace where he worked as a machinist for many years. He was a member of the New England Masonic Lodge and a recipient of the 50 Year Award.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Roger McEntire of Columbus, and Greg (Rose) McEntire of Thornville; his grandchildren, Karen (Dave) Schallmo, Erin (Will) Nguyen, and Corey and (Kellie) McEntire; and his great-grandchildren, Cooper, Asya, Jossalyn, and Kaiden.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean (Nelk) McEntire.
