Funeral services for Martha Anne Matesich, 59, of Granville, will be held at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 20, 2016 with Rev. G. Michael Gribble as celebrant. Private burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Martha died her home on Thursday, January 14, 2016. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on August 1, 1956 to the late Stephen J. and Audrey Mae (Johnson) Matesich.

Martha, a 1974 graduate of Newark Catholic High School, received her BS in Speech-Language Pathology from Marquette University and her MS in Speech-Language Pathology from University of Wisconsin. She was currently working as a speech therapist for Columbus City Schools.

She is survived by her children, Christopher Matesich Luzio and Kyle Matesich Luzio; her grandson Wesley Luzio; her siblings, Michael (Barb) Matesich, Karl Matesich, and Mary Hill; longtime friends, Lori Long and Theresa Donahue; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Mark Matesich; and her brother-in-law, Bob Hill.

Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 5-8 P.M., Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
