A Funeral Mass for Mark Daniel Evans, 54, of Newark, will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Thursday, January 18, 2018, with Rev. G. Michael Gribble as celebrant.  Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Mark died at his home on Saturday, January 13, 2018.  He was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 3, 1963 to Dan and Peggy (O'Neill) Evans of Newark.

He was a 1981 graduate of Newark Catholic High School and received his BS in Business Administration from Ohio Northern University.  As a licensed Realtor, Mark worked for many years with HER Realtors.  He was the Executive Officer and Past President of the Licking County Board of Realtors, and Regional Vice President of HER Realtors.

For many years, Mark enjoyed coaching, basketball and baseball.  He spent many spring and summer days at the North Newark Little League Complex.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his wife Kim (Porterfield) Evans; his children, Megan (Kyle) Barrick, Laney and Jake Evans; his siblings, Kelly (Bob) Parker and Scot (Adrienne) Evans; nieces and nephews, Alexa, Jackson, Hallie, Oliver, Tucker, Danielle, Granger and Slater; uncles, Rick (Harriett) Evans and Tim (Jan) Evans; and several cousins.

Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 5-7 P.M., Wednesday, January 17, 2018 where a Vigil Service will be held at 5 P.M.

The family requests that memorials in Mark's name be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society; or the Newark Catholic High School Foundation, 1 Green Wave Drive, Newark, Ohio 43055.
