Wyckoff
Oct 22, 1937 — Aug 18, 2026
Newark
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie Patricia “Pat” Wyckoff, 88, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 26, 2026, with Fr. David Sizemore as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newark. Calling will be held at Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Tuesday, August 25, 2026, with a Vigil Service at 6:30 P.M.
Pat died peacefully at the Selma Markowitz Care Center on August 18, 2026. She was born in Jay, Maine on October 22, 1937, the first child of the late Daniel and Eva (Poirier) Gagnon. Pat grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts, where she attended Lynn Classical High School and was married to Ron Wyckoff at her home church of Sacred Heart. The two later moved to Ron’s hometown of Newark, Ohio, where Pat volunteered at the hospital gift shop and spent 11 dedicated years as a teacher’s aide at the Montessori School. Pat and Ron loved traveling together and became snowbirds later in life. After Ron’s death in 2014, Pat greatly enjoyed being the regular Tuesday office volunteer at St. Francis de Sales Church. She attended daily Mass and told everyone that St. Francis was where she found peace and happiness.
Pat will be dearly missed by her children, Linda (Edward) Richards and Lisa (Robert) Vogel; six grandchildren, Ronnie (Christina), Jill, Christopher, Michael (Jessica), Elizabeth (Zechariah), and Nicholas (Briana); six great-grandchildren; brother, David (Donna) Gagnon; and treasured family friends, Nick and Pat Abraham.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Ron; daughter, Debra (Ronald) Van Kirk; and brother, Daniel Gagnon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Francis de Sales Church (40 Granville St., Newark) or the Licking County Humane Society (825 Thornwood Dr. SW, Heath, OH 43056).
