Funeral services celebrating the life of Mariana Wilson, 80, of Newark, will be held at REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 1 P.M., Friday, January 6, 2023, with Pastor Mark Hartsough as celebrant. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11-1 P.M., Friday, prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.

Mariana passed away at Licking Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 1, 2023. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on October 9, 1942, to the late Earl B. and Sara C. (Fisher) Winn.

Mariana worked as a secretary over the years and attended First Baptist Church of Heath. She was devoted to her family, making them her focus on a daily basis. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and shopping for the latest fashion and beauty trends.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Carolee (Vaughn) Ellis and Melissa (Rob) Jones; granddaughter, Lilli Jones; step-grandchildren, Rachel Jones, Jennifer Paul, and Tanaya LeVeck, and their families; sisters, Kathy Jenkins, Linda Plants, and Valerie (Bill) Arbaugh; brother-in-law, Harry Wilson; sisters-in-law, Sharren Wilson and Mariane (Pat) Asessandro; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mariana was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wilson and his parents, Everett and Anna Wilson; brothers-in-law, Daryl Jenkins, Phil Plants, and Dick Wilson; and sister-in-law, Diane Wilson.
