Louis F. Yura, 97, of Newark, died at the Selma Markowitz Care Center of Hospice of Central Ohio on Saturday, November 28, 2020.  He was born in Youngstown, Ohio on September 15, 1923, the son of Italian immigrants, Tomasina and Vincenzo (Guira) Yura.

Louis, affectionately known as "Uncle", was a graduate of Wilson High School, Youngstown, and received his Masters Degree from The Ohio State University.  For many years, Louis taught the Spanish language in the Dayton City High School System, retiring after 30 years of service.  Following this, Louis split time between living in Rome and Newark, residing at the home of his niece, Joann (John) Baker.  He spoke 3 different languages and could read 5.

He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas, Charles, and Dominic; sisters, Mary Bruno and Florence Carline.
