Funeral services celebrating the life of Linda L. Bringardner, 84, formerly of Jacksontown, will be held at Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 12 Noon, Monday, June 3, 2024, with Pastor Jeff Hawkins as celebrant. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 10-12 Noon, Monday, prior to the service.

Linda died on Monday, April 29, 2024 in Green Valley Arizona, where she had been living for the last several years. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on April 28, 1940, to the late Charles D. and Jeannette (Vaughn) Smeltzer.

A graduate of Fairview High School, Linda worked locally as a hairdresser and taught cosmetology for quite a few years. Following her cosmetology career, Linda worked as a secretary in the Lakewood School District and was a member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles Lodge.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Michelle (Robin) Davis, and Angela Cook; grandchildren, Jayme Carbaugh and Vanessa Harrison; great-grandchildren, Bladen Giles, Krislyn Giles, Cohen Dodd, Landon Dodd, Chase Upchurch, and Tyler Upchurch; great-great-grandchild, Oaklyn Giles; brother, Dan Smeltzer; sister, Delores (Lowell) Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, David Joseph Bringardner; and son-in-law, Eric Cook.
