A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Lawrence S. Miceli, 71, of Newark, will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 12 Noon, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, with Fr. David Sizemore as celebrant. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Larry, a United States Navy Veteran, died at his home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. He was born in Brighton, Massachusetts on September 16, 1949, to the late Lawrence A. and Candida (Leccesse) Miceli.
Larry was retired from Owens Corning where he worked as a machinist and was a member of the IAMAW Local 1280. A longtime parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Larry was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11665 and also served on the Newark Catholic High School Advisory Board. In his retirement, Larry worked as a bus driver for Newark City Schools, transporting students to St. Francis de Sales and Blessed Sacrament Elementary Schools.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen (LaRosa) Miceli; son, Anthony (Teresa) Miceli; twin sons, Martin Miceli and Joseph Miceli; twin daughters, Melissa Miceli and Kristin (Gary) Stought; 5 grandchildren, Miles, Ava, Roman, Wyatt, and Bella; brother, Robert (Jane) Miceli; sister, Nancy Miceli; sister-in-law, Susan (Stan) Dawid; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call at the REED-EGAN FUNERAL HOME, 141 Green Wave Drive, Newark, 4-7 P.M., Monday May 31, 2021, where a Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 P.M.
